Jacob's 5th Birthday

Happy Birthday Jacob! I can't believe you are already 5.

Well I am finally getting around to posting some pics of Jacob's birthday. It was a week long celebration, which he loved. On his actual birth-day we took him to Chuck E Cheese, his choice. Then later that week we went to Frontier City in OKC and stayed in Guthrie with our families where he opened more gifts. The next weekend we had his birthday party with family and friends. I think he had a very awesome, great birthday.

I told him to give me a "I'm so happy it's my birthday and I am at CC's" smile. I'm not sure what this is...
They are riding a roller coaster simulator.

I think Todd played more games or just as many as the kids did.

Here is Jacob and his Grammie.

He was very happy to get a Power Rangers game.

How many does it take to put a race track together?

I wanted them to wait for everyone to get there, divide up the KIDS and have a water balloon fight. I have evidence of who started the fight right here. I thought this was for the kids!

Austin arrived right as the fun began and Jacob slammed him right in the face with a water balloon. Poor Austin. I'm sure he was thinking, "I thought we were buddies!"

4th of July

Every year we watch Owasso's fireworks display from the Albertson's parking lot. It was on the 3rd which is Jacob's birthday. He kept asking all day, "when are we going to go watch MY fireworks?"
We went to a Jason and Katie's for a cookout 4th of July and then out to the country to set off the fireworks. We had a great time.

Jacob is in there, somewhere.

Cooper, Brenden & Ella watching fireworks. Or was it Annie's sparkler dance?? Ha.

Our Little Dog

Well, we had to put our little dog to sleep today. She was 16 years old. She started having seizures 2 years ago, so we had a couple of more years with her than expected. Despite all the problems she was having, it doesn't make it any easier though. We are all missing our little dog.

She would wait with Jordan for Todd to come home from work.

We'll miss ya Prissy!

Playing Catch Up

I have sooo much catch up to do. Computer problems put me way behind here. I still have Jacob's birthday and 4th of July to post. Hopefully this weekend sometime I can add those.... I am totally convinced that summers are way busier than the school year, even with sports, Awanas & everything else that comes along with the fall.
Anyway, here are a few pics of Jacob's last couple of ball games.
Yes, we have to slide EVERYTIME! Why not? The kids will wait for them to clear the plate just to slide. It doesn't matter if it means stand and wait to slide and get out or just touch the plate and be safe, we have to slide! And if you don't get out of the way, then it turns into a dog pile. What a game.
Notice the tongue sticking out here. It will stay that way until he makes it to 1st.
Click on these next two pics to enlarge and check out these catches. I know... I am his mom....but I'm impressed!

I would love to know what they were talking about out there. I'm thought Jacob was probably telling him what he did wrong or something but I showed Jacob this pic and asked him. He said the boy asked him what his team name was.

Wild Ones

We recently went to Guthrie for family reunions. We stayed with Todd's parents and took some pics outside with the trees around. We don't have nice big trees in our yard. They keep dying. That's another story.
The kids got to go for a ride with Papa Carl on his Harley. Jacob just loves it (if you can't tell by the big smile on his face). He looks so little on there and Jordan looks so big!
That better be the ONLY bike we catch her on!

Go Fire!

Jacob had his 1st t-ball game this week. I think that him in his little uniform is the cutest thing I've ever seen! He loves it. I don't think they keep score at this age but don't tell him that, he thinks they won. They let all of the kids bat instead of calling strikes and outs. This way all of them gets to bat, all of them are on the field chasing the ball so everyone plays. If you ask him which he likes best, soccer or baseball, he will say "both of 'em".

He is throwing it to first.

The only problem is that Austin here is playing first. He does not make it back to the base and turned around before Jacob throws it to him. This happened a couple of times. So after a couple of times Jacob here is telling him "Austin, always look at me! I'm going to throw it to you!"

Thanks coach Jake.

Easter is here....where's spring?

Well Easter came and went and it still feels like winter here. But that didn't stop the Easter egg hunts and us girls wearing our Easter dresses and cute new sandals.
The kids dyed Easter eggs. Jacob had two poor little eggs that didn't make it. They got dropped into the dye and cracked. As you can see by his hands he really got "into it". His hand looked like an Easter egg by the time he was finished.
